Middletown Park is a 79-acre park in the middle of Middletown. There is a small lake, two or three playground areas, a couple of baseball fields and a few paths for walking or running.
There are no tall buildings in town, so church steeples and this water tower are the main features of the city's "skyline."

Ice Cream or Coffee?
This is a Middletown landmark. There actually was an ice cream shop at this location at one time. The building was vacant for many years, but new owners opened a coffee shop and restaurant at the site last year.
Despite my addiction to both coffee and ice cream, I have yet to visit this establishment. I hear it's great. I'll investigate soon and report my findings.

Main Street Middletown
Yes, the main street in Middletown, MD is called Main Street. This busy view includes the street, one of many church steeples and a glimpse of South Mountain in the background.
I wish the power lines weren't there, but in a way, it adds to the complex balance of old and new that makes this town what it is.
