I do not feel bad for the BP company; they brough on their disaster. I DO feel bad for BP stations like this one on Main Street. The oil spill is not the station owner's fault. People do still stop at this one but it seems to be empty more often than before.

John Deere Green

Farm equipment in the middle of the road is a fact of life in the valley. I followed this vehicle from Middletown north on Hwy 17 for about two miles. In this scenario, your only option is to sit back and enjoy the parade-speed pace and the pleasant scenery. It reminds us that food doesn't grow on the grocery store shelves.

Thos black specs to the right are cows. This farm is just north of town.

Another Horizontal Rural View

Tractor Just North of Town

No driver. Either they left it there and planned to come back or it's for sale and I just didn't see the sign. The tractor itself is a sign of just how rural Middletown Valley is.

Safeway

This is the main grocery store in town. This strip center also has a pharmacy, a pizza restaurant, an ice cream shop, a dry cleaner, a dentist office and two banks. They call it a town center but it is a mile east of the center of town.

A Great Cup of Coffee

OK, I'm going to try and start posting daily again. I took several photos this morning then stopped at my favorite local restaurant. I hear that all the restaurants in Middletown are good (like Dempsey's up the street, which I really will stop in some time), but I keep coming back to this one. Love their coffee.
