WOW!!! That is really a stunning one, Bernie. May I ask what your settings were for this one? And what camera and lens you captured it with? When I grow up I'd like to be a lot better at all kinds of shots, and I learn from observing :-). -Kim Seattle Daily Photo
Kim - when you grow up?! :) You have some of the most stunning photos in the whole City Daily community. I'll get back to you on the settings - the card got corrupted the next day and I've got someone trying to recover some other shots. When I get it back, I'll look up the data. My best guess is f5.6, 1/60, ISO 650. I used metering, an educated guess and 3 or 4 of the same framing (and just a touch of added saturation in Photoshop). The camera is a Nikon D-80 with a Nikon 18-135 lens.
Hope - thank you. When I saw the clouds and sunset setting up that day, I dropped everything and started shooting.
Mumbaiiteanu - thank you. You have some fantastic pictures on your site too!!
This is so beautiful! I love your photos of our town. My husband and I are Civil War reenactors and would love for you to stop by our Signal Corps "camp" during Heritage Day. We will be on the grassy area where the Christ Reformed Church sign is on East Main Street. My husband is "Andrew" that wrote to you about yesterday's photo of the old theatre building.
d,c, Janet - Thanks! I'm very happy with that one. I'll post some others from that day soon.
Tiffany - thanks. I will look for you and Andrew. Hope the rain stops by Saturday. :)
olivier - Merci!
corey - thanks. Nice shots on your site too. I like the Brick House.
jm - thanks
Wow - this was my 125th post on this site and it definitely got the most reaction. I'm very happy about that because it is my favorite Middletown picture so far.
