Blue Monday

The sky was incredibly blue on one of my recent shooting days. I had already decided to concentrate on bold colors and patterns, so the blue became my main color. I'll post a couple of additional "blue pattern" shots over the next few days.

By the way, the only Photoshop enhancement I did on this was a slight cropping from the original image and a slight sharpness adjustment. The sky really was that blue.

I believe you on the blue sky. We are in the middle of August here in Ohio and it should be blistering-hot and the humidity should be like an overcharged sauna but it is cold in the mornings and stays cool with a breeze all day long. The sky is either filled with fluffy clouds or a solid, perfect, blue.

It is like living in paradise.

So the question is related to winter. What will winter be like?

I can see this photo with long icicles hanging from the sign.

And if it's a typical winter around here, it remains to be seen how enthusiastic I'll be to get up early on a Saturday (my usualy shooting day) to photograph those icicles. But I bet it'd be a great shot.
