Corn Field In Town

I posted a picture of this cornfield a few months ago, closer to the beginning of the season. This is near the end.



And this field really is in town. The shot below was taken across Green Street from the shot above.

As much as I love my palm trees, I do miss the Maryland corn and soybean fields this time of year.

Gorgeous photo — love the wide expanse of the fields and the hills. But what is that white tower? I'm clueless when it comes to anything agricultural. ;)

Ft. L. - I was planning to photograph another corn field that day, but it was harvested the previous day... but there is a soybean field next to it. Definitely that time of year!

Hilda - that is a water tower. The picture makes it look like it's in the middle of the field, but it is actually next to the high school which is next to the other end of this corn field.
